DNR Scrap Tire Surface Material Grant - Request for rubber crumble for placement under stand alone slide was AWARDED ON NOVEMBER 7, 2023.  Awarded $19,932.00; awarded full amount requested for in the grant, with no match asked for in the grant.  Work scheduled to begin after the Lions Club Auction. The EPA has that a Lead Service Line Inventory be completed. We have received a grant to do the Inverntory. Total H2O Solutions will be here Has started walking around to knock on door and get the information  needed. We have reeived about a 55% response rate so far. We will have to continue asking until we have 100% weather we have Total H20 Solutions help or not.

The sooner we can determine how many lead or galvanized pipe are present, the sooner we can apply for money to help replace them. 

The City of Clarksdale was awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in 2022 for road improvements in the amount of $487,613. The project was awarded to the contractor Metro Asphalt in May 2023. 

Metro Asphalt is planning to start the first Monday of May on Union Star and then Clarksdale.  If by chance he can, he’ll start earlier.
